OBJECTIVES

Main Goals:

to advance the research area of digitalization of biomanufacturing and to becoming gain international recognition as a leading consortium in the field.​

  • to promote synergies between consortium partners with key stakeholders, ​
  • To enhance project outcomes,​
  • to pave the way for future actions in the area of digitalization of Biomanufacturing. ​

Activities foreseen include identification and analysis of stakeholders, performing a GAP analysis, defining a roadmap, identifying funding opportunities and networking.​

WORKFLOW

4.1. Identification and analysis of stakeholders​

Lead: IST
Duration: M19-M24

Aims to enhance collaboration, mitigate conflicts, and ensure that the development of the field is driven by a holistic understanding of the interests and needs of all involved parties.

4.2. Performing a GAP analysis 

Lead TUB
Duration: M19-M36​

Aims to assess the current state of the field of digitalization of manufacturing and identify gaps, challenges, and areas for improvement.​

To publish a white paper, to educate, inform, and persuade audiences in the Biotech sector by presenting facts, data, and evidence, while showcasing the consortium’s expertise.

4.3. Development of a roadmap on education for digital biomanufacturing​

Duration: M30-M36​

To create a roadmap describing how to offer a world-class education in digital biomanufacturing, which is enriched with innovative contents, tools and methodologies.​

To develop a clear and actionable guide that will help to implement educational actions geared towards digitalization of biomanufacturing.

4.4. Networking for future applications

Duration: M25-M36​

To identify funding opportunities over the next five years, by monitoring Horizon Europe, the EU’s flagship R&I funding program for 2021-2027,​

To identify, contact and coax potential partners into establishing consortia aiming at the preparation of research projects involving digitalization of biomanufacturing.
