WP2 aims to significantly elevate the skills of both scientific and administrative staff at IST/IST-ID in Research Management disciplines. Our ambition is to create a seamless continuum of Research Management practices, encompassing the entire project lifecycle—from pre-award activities to the thorough evaluation of project impacts.
Our long-term vision is to develop and implement a robust, set of RM tools and processes for IST/IST-ID. These innovations will streamline Research Management activities institution-wide, transforming funding procurement and grant management into routine practices.
Under the motto “Learning from experience”, and in collaboration with DTU and TU Berlin, we will j develop and provide on-site training, staff exchange opportunities and sharing of best practices on pre-award, post-award and transversal issues, with a dedicated focus on EU funding.
Training activities will target 3 training schools, 4 workshops, 4 short-term visits, enrolling at least 15 Research Managers and at least 5 Research Units.

Aims to provide structured and up-to-date information on the different dimensions of EU applications and projects. Tentative topics: EU and Regional policy priorities, data management, open science practices, responsible R&I, as well as Horizon Europe legal and financial aspects, including contract bids, respective obligations and reporting.

Aims at to integrate at IST/IST-ID unified processes for Research Management, based on advanced partners best practices. It will link the areas of knowledge of pre- and post-award, as well as transversal areas of Research Management (secondments).
