WP1, led by DTU, aims to bring IST up to speed regarding the field of digitalization of biomanufacturing. This is
achieved by assisting IST in acquiring a new set of skills and competencies through targeted training for scientific
staff and early-stage researchers.
The long-term goal is a collective effort to improve IST’s research profile and capabilities in digitalizing biotech,
which will not only improve IST’s impact factor, output, and reputation in the field but also strengthen our shared
vision and further future collaboration (joint grant applications and dissemination).
Workshops, in-person and fully digital training schools (to reach a greater audience), and short-term visits for ESR
and ER.
TU Berlin and DTU’s combined capabilities and expertise. Both are well-positioned to take the necessary steps to
turn the vision of digitalization of biomanufacturing into a reality. Their commitment to research and innovation in
this field inspires confidence in the potential success of this digital transformation.
Lead: IST
Duration: M1-M24
Aims to prepare and deliver WS that
cover topics that are key to the
digitalization of biomanufacturing.
These WS foster collaboration through
interactive learning and discussion.
Lead: DTU
Duration: M1-M24
Aims at preparing in-depth TS on specific technical topics that cover areas that are key to the digitalization
of biomanufacturing. Attendees are expected to learn vital skills needed for the digitalization of biotech
processes through these structured and comprehensive TS.
Lead: TUB
Duration: M1-M12
Aims to build on and leverage the following platforms for worldwide outreach: (a) Coding4Bio online competition; (b) BioVL (DTU digital training platform); and (c) KIWI lab’s remotely controlled robotics stations and equipment.
